Use SP Flash Tool (following the steps in Method 1) to flash only the custom TWRP recovery image to your device.
Some manufacturers launched MT6580 devices with Android 9.0 out of the box. For example, the BQ Mobile BQ-6022G Aura came with Android 9.0 Pie (Go Edition). If your device is not one of these, you can still install a Custom ROM.
