The joystick is a native USB Human Interface Device (HID). Windows 10 includes the necessary drivers built directly into the operating system. When you plug the joystick into a USB port, Windows 10 automatically detects it and installs a generic driver. The joystick axes and buttons will work immediately in most modern flight simulators, including Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, DCS World, and IL-2 Sturmovik. How to Verify the Joystick is Connected

The Force Feedback 2 requires its dedicated AC power cable plugged into a wall outlet to power the internal motors. Without it, the stick will feel loose and will not register inputs correctly.
The only downsides? Low button count (only 8 + throttle hat) and no twist rudder. You'll need pedals or a separate throttle unit (like a Thrustmaster TWCS).

Ensure your hand fully covers the groove on the front of the handle during play. If the stick is still limp, pass a small piece of dark electrical tape over the sensor hole to permanently trick the joystick into thinking it is being held.
